Resort wear is a warm-weather wardrobe of lightweight, polished pieces made for vacation settings: breathable dresses, linen sets, crochet pieces, and elevated cover ups that move from pool to dinner. It is dressier than beachwear and easier than city clothes, built around packable fabrics.

Beachwear is swim-adjacent: suits, cover ups, and pieces meant for sand and water. Resort wear is the dressed version of vacation: linen sets, maxi dresses, and polished separates you wear at dinner, on excursions, and through airports. A good cover up can cross both.

Eight to ten mix-and-match pieces cover a week: three dresses, two sets that split into separates, one pair of versatile bottoms, two swim cover ups, and one light layer for air conditioning. Choosing one palette makes nearly every combination work together.

Resort evening means polished but breathable: a maxi dress, a linen set with elevated sandals, or a crochet dress over a slip. Most resort restaurants ask for covered swimwear at minimum and reward a little polish. A wrap handles the air conditioning indoors.
